Ski buses run from both Kaprun and Zell am See to the Kaprun - Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. The ski area is a good size and offers excellent snow quality in the winter and gives a snow guarantee in either the start or end of the season. Two separate gondolas take skiers and snowboarders up to the slopes from the car park, as the funicular remains closed following a tragic fire. A number of high speed chairs as well as some lengthy surface lifts operate on the glacier. The Kaprun - Kitzsteinhorn Glacier also has an extensive terrain park.
