Kauntertal Glacier ski holidays
Little known outside of Austria and Germany, the Kauntertal Glacier is found in western Tirol, close to the resorts of Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis.
The Kauntertal Glacier is dramatically located in the remote end of the Kauntertal Valley. The lengthy drive leads through stunning wilderness scenery to a base station car park. The road continues further up the mountain to another station that is based just on the edge of the glacier. The run between these areas is below the actual glacier and forms an interesting and winding route. Above, the Kauntertal Glacier has a fairly flat and extensive ski area served by a mix of chairs and surface lifts. A terrain park is located in the middle of the glacier.
