Glacier ski holidays on the Solden Otztal Glacier
Complementing the non-glacier ski area at Solden and Hoch Solden, the Solden Otztal Glacier offers snow sure skiing and an extensive ski area in the Otztal Valley.
The Solden Otztal Glacier hosts the opening FIS mens ski race early season each year, a sign of the snow reliability in this resort, high in the Otztal Valley. Unlike many other glacier skiing resorts the Solden Otztal Glacier is served by a substantial and in some respects mega resort right at the slopes. The slopes just above Solden are not the actual glacier but the ski area that joins the bottom the glacier. The skiing on the Solden Otztal Glacier itself is extensive with one of the best lift systems of any glacier skiing resort.
