Glacier ski holidays on the Stubai Glacier
The Stubai Glacier offers one of the biggest, best and most modern ski areas available.
The Stubai Glacier is located close to Innsbruck, the capital city of Tirol. Situated at the end of the Stubai Valley, the Stubai Glacier is served by numerous ski holiday resorts, the biggest of which is Neustift. 2 modern gondolas take guests from the car park and base station at Mutterbergalm onto the Stubai Glacier. Skiing there tends to favour the intermediate and there is an extensive learners area at the Gamsgarten station. The lift system is modern and efficient and numerous restaurants dot the area. A run to the base station is open for much of the season but for times of avalanche danger, offering a dramatic 13km descent back to the base station.
